well, the rebate seems simple enough.

I always make a scan of everthing I"m mailing to them....including the envelope.

Good idea on scanning the envelope. Anyone gone to using registered/ reciept mail yet? Although even that wouldn't help my current rebate. I have an onrebate that claims I cashed it but no they can't show me a copy of it. BTW I'd get this reader but I'm pretty sure I need the 54th card type.

I've had a company stamp a "return to sender" on the envelope and have it returned to me.

Fortunately this rebate had a 800# to call....I did and the reason it was returned was because they couldn't read the rebate offer number on the envelope.

With my envelope in hand....the envelope that I used a LASER PRINTER to print directly onto the envelope...I could clearly read the text.

I ended up scanning and faxing the envelope to them and 3 days latter, I had a rebate check.

Bastards..... I call that fraud.... I kinda bet their told to stamp and return a percentage of the rebates.....lose another percentage....and reject for other reasons a few more.... Unoffically of course....

anyhow.... I'm just getting this reader to have around....always nice to be able to say, "sure, I can read that memory card!" :)

i use certified return receipt for big dollar rebates.

if it's good enough for service of court docs, it's good enough for rebates. registered isn't necessary (that's for stuff like bearer bonds)

PDF rebate form appears slightly corrupted, I can't read the 'steps' part. Not sure I trust this place to give me a rebate anyway.

I love how they list BRANDS of memory as different TYPES. This isn't a 53 in 1 device, not when they list CF, CF Ultra II, CF Extreme III... those are simply the brand name version of different CF memory (i.e. Sandisk Ultra II, or Sandisk Extreme III). It is like saying an IDE ATA-133 connection is a 100 in 1 connection because you can connect a Western Digital Cavalir ATA-133 drive, a Seagate Baracuda 9 ATA-133 drive, a Baracuda 8 ATA-133 drive, a Baracuda 7 ATA-133 drive, a Baracuda 6 ATA-100, a Baracuda 5 ATA-66, a Deathstar..... etc., etc., etc., etc., ad. infinum.....

It might be a good product, especially at the price, but that is real deceptive marketing literature, and possibly even illegal in some places.
