AOL is chargin for aim at their US site, however at their British counterpart its still a free download.

you guys dont know how frustrating it was when i found out they started charging for their mobile apps... i use my clie connecting to aim via IR on my cell phone, but when it stopped working one day, i was thoroughly pissed. let's see how long this new version will work... can't wait to get aim working via wap.

OH this pisses me off...my buddylist isn't automatically downloaded... im guessing since it's dialing into the UK servers?? grr...
