I have a MSI Laptop with Turion 64 X2 TL-66 2.3G which is running either at 800MHz when idle or 2.3GHz full speed, sometime it will stuck at 800MHz and sometimes it will stuck at 2.3Ghz no matter whether I'm running a lot of application or not.

However, since the fan is noisy and when running at 2.3GHz the CPU is hot and even noisier, I want to run the CPU at about 1.6Ghz most of the time so it will not be that hot and that noisy.

I'm running Windows 7 and installed AMD Overdrive 3.1 but it seems the CPU/chipset is not supported.

Anyone know a free, good multiplier changer for AMD CPU?

Thanks. SetFBS will run, but RMClock can't install it's driver.

How do I know what clock generator my laptop is using?
