Free alternative to nero?

I just formatted my Dad's PC and installed Windows 7 (he was on XP before). He used to use something called Nero Express for burning audio CDs and doing copies etc, but I can't find the install CD anywhere.

Is there anything similar that is easy enough for him to pick up? I tried imgburn but it wont create audio CDs from mp3s and it wont do a straight copy from 1 drive to another, you have to create an image file first.
