FREE Alternative to MS Money/Quicken

Is there anything for free out there that will connect to my bank and update my ledger much like MS Money/Quicken? I know I can set up an excel spreadsheet and go old school keeping up with it manually but I like the idea that I can catch unauthorized/missed charges much faster by downloading updates.

Any ideas?

Mint and Yodlee are decent online options, but lack the flexibility of a general ledger where you can enter your own transactions manually.

I switched from MS Money to Quicken 2009 several months ago once MS decided to drop support for Money. It works well and is well worth paying $40-50 every year or two to keep updated.

I've been looking for years, and the conclusion that I've come to is that there isn't currently a free alternative to Quicken.
