Hi-Tech SKU 471229 16X 80min $24.94 less $25 MIR = free

Dec 2-8.

edit: Just a heads-up - These are the same ones they had 11/11-11/17 and the limit is one rebate per household and both sets of dates are covered on the same rebate form.

is this deal only online or in stores too?

It's in today's newspaper ad so I assume that it is available in the stores as well.

i got in on this last time, but watch out for the rebate...it's sent somewhere in NJ, and there's absolutely no contact info (no phone #, no website) so if you never get your rebate you're probably SOL.

Just ordered the CDRs and Memorex scanner plus almost $6 in pens - 25 coupon (U Can Find online). So my order will just about be free after rebates.

Can someone tell me what is the PO Box number listed on the mail in rebate form? It looks like PO Box 1009 in Hackensack, NJ but the number is very blurry. I called a CSR at the local Staples and she couldn't figure it out either.

I would also agree that this rebate looks questionable. Of all the rebates that I filled out from the Thanksgiving sales (about 20) this is the one I least expect to see paid off. It's outside of Staples cool automated setup.

I love free CDs, but I'm steering clear of this one, too. No idea what rebate company is involved, and no contact info on the form. Caveat Emptor. I'll wait for the next one.

For a clearer/larger form, you can go here and download it to disk or print to page size:

It also looks like they're looking for any way to disqualify you: <<Sales receipt must not be mutilated or altered or corrected or cut in any way... The above terms and conditions must be strictly followed otherwise the claimant will be automatically disqualified from this mail-in rebate>> Yikes.

The address is in fact P O Box 1009 in Hackensack, NJ. I tried to order the 100 pack currently on sale over the phone but they won't give you the instant $15 since they claim it's for in-store only. Even though it's under $50 for free shipping I'm a Dividend$ Gold member so all my shipping is free. The last rebate for the CD-R's Staples had during the black Fri. sale was for $15. Be sure to make copies of everything, it might be needed later. It's true there is no phone number listed for that rebate location. Past experience with Staples rebates for me has shown on 2 ocassions when I brought all my copies of everything to the manager and explained that the rebate was not paid, they made good on the rebate and paid it. Guess it pays to shop at the right Staples.

I just picked up a pack from Stamples. They had 6 left on the clearence table. The rebate form says there's a UPC on the shrink-wrap but I only see a UPC on the bottom of the spindle. Guess I'll send that in.

Thanks guys for posting the PO box # and the actual rebate certificate! that's one less thing to worry about.

Bob

I ran into the same problem with the spindle that I bought. The UPC was a sticker on the bottom of the case. I could not peel it off so I had to cut through the plastic base to get it off intact. I also managed to scratch the bottom CD-R so I now have a 99 pack. 🙂

Damn Staples....I am still trying to find the rebate form from the Hi-tech CDrs that I got during black friday. Everytime I go to the store, they keep telling me that it will be on the website. Its been over a week now I still didn't see anything yet. Anyone having the same problem?

Warning.....Warning Will Robinson
This is very interesting. I got in on this the last time and was going to do it again. But I just looked at my copy of the rebate form I submitted for the Nov11 thru Nov17 rebate and it also mentions this one ( Dec 2 thru Dec 08 ) on the same form. This is the same rebate as last time. The same rebate covered both time frames. And you can only get one rebate.

And don't worry about getting the rebate, because according to the Federal Trade Commission the business that advertises the rebate is ultimately responsible for payment. That is why I keep the store ad that shows the rebate with my records. If ever I have a problem, I'll walk in the store with it in hand. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that they will make good.

That's a great idea! I still have all the ads from the Thanksgiving sales.

Sorry. I thought that I said that in the initial post. I guess I wasn't clear enough.

Do you have a link to such a claim? I'm sure a lot of us would be interrested!

For those who ordered online, what recepit should we send in for the rebate? The only piece of paper that come with the item has a red "This is not an invoice" across it. If it's a staples rebate, then I wouldn't worry, but this is a different case.

I would print out the online receipt, either from their web site or the email you get. The packing slip is not valid for some rebates (like MS) because it does not list the price (or does it)? If it lists the price, I'd use that.

Send in copies of both the online receipt and the packing slip and let them choose which one they want to to use.
FYI: I once asked Staples for a copy of my receipt and they said they would send me a copy of the packing slip, so to Staples the packing slip is the receipt.

Got my rebate form (50 pack) from the store on Saturday, Dec 1. The kid apologized and explained there had been a mix up and they had to get the rebate form from the company. Whatever. The local Staples was out of the 100 pack Saturday and today (sold out they claim).

Use a hair dryer to heat the UPC sticker on the bottom and it will peel off real easy.
