any one have any ideas on how a mp3 player could be modified to play mp3 cds?

cerebus: That's not possible. heh..there's really nothing you could do besides buying a portable mp3/cd player..it looks just like a normal portable cd player, but it plays mp3s off cds as well. If it were possible to "modify" an mp3 player, it would probably require you to carry around a computer power supply, internal cdrom & somehow hook it into the mp3 player's board so it think's it's the memory slot. Umm..just buy a cd/mp3 player, it would be a bit easier & much more portable

cerebusPu: It might be easier to modify a regular cd player to play mp3 cds... which is exactly what this eXpanium player is... would be a lot cheaper to buy it off the shelf rather than modify the cdplayer
