Free (after beta test) mp3/cd player

They started accepting applications on July 3, and 50 is not a lot of people....My guess? They have enough people, and the remaining people who fill out the application will be spam-a-tized

The fifty participants will be selected one week after the final entry.

So it looks like we might have a chance afterall. At any rate, it's good to see a major company producing this sort of thing, I've been waiting to buy a brand name one.
 
hey delete the tread, it's only for 50 peeps. why would you want to post it here? i'm sure you got like 15000 people already filling it out.
 
c'mon man don't tell him to delete the thread...there's a chance one of us will win...and this deal is more legit then most of them on the board.
 
someone on another forum reported that they got an email this am saying they'll have their playing in 2-4 weeks. No email here yet 🙁

cerebus: That's not possible. heh..there's really nothing you could do besides buying a portable mp3/cd player..it looks just like a normal portable cd player, but it plays mp3s off cds as well. If it were possible to "modify" an mp3 player, it would probably require you to carry around a computer power supply, internal cdrom & somehow hook it into the mp3 player's board so it think's it's the memory slot. Umm..just buy a cd/mp3 player, it would be a bit easier & much more portable 😛
 
cerebusPu: It might be easier to modify a regular cd player to play mp3 cds... which is exactly what this eXpanium player is... would be a lot cheaper to buy it off the shelf rather than modify the cdplayer
