In todays holiday edition of Best buy's ad they're 14.99 (which is in it self a good deal) and free after mail in rebate.

Limit 1 per Cust. **Fri only 7am - noon** <sorry bout that, not avail. Sat>

For inquiring minds, I purchased a 50 pack (free after rebate) of PNY's 12x media about 2 months ago.

Per my CD Indentifier, manufactured by Gigastorage Corp. Type 2.
Considered to be low quality.

Sales at BB runs Friday and Saturday,
BUTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT..........
CDR's are on sale Friday 7-Noon ONLY.

Here's the link on these cd's....

BB CDR's

Garcia--- I find that the PNY CD-R's are some of the most top notch ones available.

I would be buying more tomorrow but I already have over 130 sitting next to me which cost me a grand total of $12.

Well I was able to get 3 sets.
Luckily I was 5th in line and cashier didn't know they were 1 per person.

Then I went back an hour later to try to get some more for friends
and they were sollllllllllllllllldddddddddddddd out.

Oh well, least 150 cd's should last me awhile.

Same here, I was in line at 7am and once they opened the doors it took another 5 minutes before I got inside and they were already sold out, Errr. At least I was able to get the DVD's I wanted...

Braveheart
U-571
Fight Club
The Green Mile
Mission Impossible 2
Gladiator (PM with Circuit City)
X-Men (PM with Circuit City)
The Perfect Storm (PM with Circuit City)

office depot is carrying the same CDR spindle.
( Only that the brand is "OfficeDepot" but they
are essentialy the same)

29.99 - 10.00IR - 19.99 MIR = free

at B&M stores.

For 11/24/00 (Friday) only, Staples also had the 50 PNY 80 minute CDR spindle for free after rebate. At the store I went to, the 50-CDR spindle that was $19.99 - rebate = free happened to be the 80 minute PNY's. I should've gone to Best Buy on the way home to get another "free" spindle of the same thing (didn't react fast enough as we passed it on the highway).

If you would not mind company name labels on CDRs, there is a better option than this PNY. get the 50 pack 700MB CDR from Office Depot, free after rebate, $30 less $10 instant rebate and less $20 mail in rebate. I got one, looks like silver on top and bottom. It says on the spindle label, class A CDR. Whatever that means.

I went to BB this morning, they were out of the PNY before 11 am. I do not know how many minutes after opening had they run out of the PNY (minimum 100 or 1000) per store.

Anybody knows the quality of this PNY brand CDR?

PNY cds are garbage. Notice how the dye scratches off near the center very easily (granted there is laquer over the readable portion - but still...). They also don't read in many players I've tried them in, but Imation, Memorex, Sony, TDK, etc etc work fine...

Picked up the 50 pack at Office Depot.

The CD Identifier says manufactured by Multi Media Masters & Machinery SA.

According to CD Media World, not enough info is available yet to judge quality.

I have some PNY cdr's and they are not that good... it barely works for a lot of things like cd n stuff... there are a lot of other good cdr's

I'm so happy they ran out, but there is a great deal on TDK, which are high quality at buy.com 20 cents after rebate. This is a great deal.
