It's not the TV, but I just looked at the specs for those speakers. Sheesh, that's a lot of money but wow.... These look like they would be the last pair of speakers you'd have to buy.

Forgot about the TV, I just interested to see what others here might have to say about this setup.

Someone buy them and give us a review! 😉

They might be good speakers, but could only decide by listening to them. Biggest problem, at least in relation to the TV, is that they're just a Pair and not a 5/7.1 setup. I suspect they're quite exquisite sounding though, but you'll need to spend some $Big for a very nice Amp to get the most out of them.

The LS6s have been shipping for a while. The larger LS9s have been a long time coming but are finally starting to trickle out to folks.
Really crappy comparison picture here

(Lots of good pictures available on the AV123 forum, which is now re-opened)

A center channel is apparently on the way, but unfortunately the closest thing available now in center format is the much less impressive X-Voce from the X-series line-up. In order to really get the best HT experience out of these, you'd need a third speaker and an acoustically transparent screen to go in front of them. Unfortunately a mystery brand 42" LCD isn't going to allow you to do that.

They've run good denon receiver deals in the past, but the TV bundle is rather odd.

I think the original (pre-order?) price on the LS6s was $2995.
(Original LS9 price was $3995)

Honestly, you don't need that much of an amp to get much out of a line source, especially a well designed one. Sure, they can take a lot of juice, but they're very efficient.

I wasn't thinking so much Power(wattage) Output, but of Quality. I've never had a chance to listen to McIntosh(spell) Amps and others of that tier, just always assumed they offered a unique experience compared to the <$1k Market Amps. Could be wrong about that and I suppose they could be the monster Cable or Bose of the Amplifier Market.

You could very well be right. Honestly though, my ears have never been able to pick up the difference between a mediocre amp and a good one. I'm using a reasonably good amp at home. It's an Adcom GFA-7807, on a dedicated 30-amp line. It's been tested to 600w, all 7 channels driven at once, at 4 ohm (Home Theater Magazine). It's designed by the same guy who did the very very well respected California Audio Labs CL-2500 (500w per channel into 5 channels at 8 ohm). However, in retrospect, I can't hear the difference between this and some of the lower end amps I've used.

This being said, if you or anyone you know can hear the difference, it may be worth it to pick up this $10k:
