The way the Mods have told me before, is if a post is over a month old with no replies, a brand new post is OK with them.

why not just bump the old thread? i think thats alot better since there might be other useful info found on that particular thread... such as google's sms service found on my past thread... but whatevers i guess, not my forum to enforce.

Huynhc, I don't disagree with you. Most times, such as this, a bump of the old thread would be useful or even better (because of past useful info as you stated). Sometimes, with old threads, a price has changed, so when someone bumps the old thread to say the price has become lower, the title does not reflect the new price unless the OP changes it (which often does not happen). Some people won't even bother to read the old bumped thread for the new price, because they just might see it as an old thread that's just bumped or worse, too many posts to look through. This is when it's appropriate to create a brand-new thread.
Your thread could have just as easily been bumped. Perhaps the OP for this thread didn't search before posting.

Great service! I thought it was supposed to be supported by ads, but I've yet to hear one.

Personally, I think this thread is way better. All I see in the first one is a bunch of paragraphs of bs. This is nice and informative.
