$19.99 + $5.99 s/h - $20 MIR = $5.98, not bad.

Not the same as geeks.com

Geeks product #: PSVG-400
Microcenter Prod #: PSWB-400

Same product at newegg for $24.99 + $6.99 s/h

Not a great 400 watt PS from the looks of things but not surprising given the price. Only 16 amps on the +12volt line which is where you need it the most now a days since thats what video cards and processors are pulling from. My antec 300 watt powersupply that came with my case is rated at 15amp. Was thinking about upgrading to this till I checked the ratings on my ps.

Yeah..I picked up two. This PSU is definitely a no-frills basic onboard video or basic video card setup. I wouldn't trust this baby on my GTX. No WAY.

You're brave. I wouldn't want to put this in anything but an extremely low end computer where I could afford for it to blow.

I was thinking more along the lines of a 400 MHz P2 system ;)

Can anyone recommend a good quality, and decently priced 400W powersupply that simply is just that, and doesn't have glowing lights, submarine level noiseless quality fans, is made of titanium, etc? I'm looking for the Honda Accord of power supplys (well made, low priced), not the Lexus of power supplys.

power supply isn't something you really want to go cheap on. If it doesn't work, then you could end up sizzling some of your comp parts. Go with fortron, 450w or something is like $50.

Thanx, dragoon. I wasn't looking for cheap, just want a no frill quality PS. Something that does the job. I'm not interested in paying for chrome finishes, neon lights, i.e. useless features.
