Current LA Times subscribers can get a free $30 gift card to Target or Ralphs (your choice) by simply switching to automatic credit card billing. You've gotta pay it eventually anyway, so may as well get a freebie and not have to hassle with remembering to mail your bill every month.

Just call the customer service number, press 0 and ask for the "$30 credit card offer". The offer's good till 4/30.

Cool! I just called and got the $30 gift card.

Also, they have a promo running now --> Sat & Sun delivery for $1 per weekend. Good for 26 weeks but you can cancel anytime.

I had every day service (signed-up with some kid who came to the door -- felt sorry for him having to schlep in 40 degree weather) -- I canceled that, they credited my account, then signed up for the weekend only thing, plus the gift card. Cool.

Oh yeah, in case you care, Sun only delivery is $2, so its cheaper to get the weekend deal. go figure

Just an update. I called in about 2 weeks ago and the woman told me it would take about 4-6 weeks to get my Target giftcard. I got it yesterday.
Now I just have to decide what to spend it on....

This deal is still good in case anyone hasn't signed up yet.
