Free $25 Buy.com GC

Has anyone tried the free $25 Buy.com gift certificate for joining Greatfunonline.com? there was a page after my checkout that offered a free gift card if i signed up for the free two month trial of greatfunonline.com, an entertainment/restaurant coupon website. Its some sort of affiliate with Buy.com or something. They just use your information from your buy.com account if you want to sign up so you dont need to write in all your information.

I'm wondering if anyone has actually got theirs yet. sounds almost too good to be true but if its integrated into the buy.com website, I'm just curious to see how this deal works out.

I did something like that awhile back.... never got my GC.. but they got my name and address.

These pop up offers also get your credit card info from the original site, so if you forget to cancel, they already have your CC info to charge. Be careful!

Well I finally got what they were offering. Turns out it's more like four $25 rebates off your purchases. (kinda like those citicards credit protector polease-don't-cance-your-service-heres-some-money rebates) you're supposed to print them out and fill them out and put your greatfunonline membership number.

there are four coupons for each of the quarters of the year. all have expiration dates in 2005. but it doesn't say that I have to use it in 2005. just the months stated... what do you guys think?

and this wasn't a popup invitation. It was an affiliate advertisement on the buy.com website right after checkout.

Why would they give you $100 unless they are going to charge you much more than that.

The fine print probably mentions the $19.95 a month membership fee somewhere, and that you must have an active membership to use the rebates.

I've used similar services (like reservation rewards) and come out ahead.
