I have subscribed to several of these magazine deals that are supposed to be free for 1 year, only to find a huge $50-$60 hit on my credit card in about 3 months.

If these are through the freebiz thing, I would suggest avoiding these type of deals.

You must be the unlucky one........I've got 3 years fo SI, two years of Bicycling, two years of Car&Driver, two years of PCMag........and never had a hit on any credit card.

I never even need to provide a credit card with freebizmag, so I don't know what that's about.

You are confused. These guys do not take CC info. How can they charge your CC if you didn't provide it?

There is no 80 page survey with these deals. I receive almost every mag that I have applied for and all were quick and painless.

I do find it amusing that these hot deals appear. Sign up for one and you get the emails notifying you of new offers. This is one of the only hot deals that I have prior knowledge of.

Freebizmag is great! I've got so many mags coming in it's hard to keep up, and all for free...no CC # ever asked for, so I can't see how you're getting a $50-60 "hit" on yours.
