the mid-80s canadian comedy show. i would stay up till 2AM in the summer to watch that show on PBS when i was a kid.

had some real talent on there early in their careers:

john candy
martin short
eugene levy
rick moranis
harold ramis
catherine o'hara

among others

i think fred was just on there once, instead of a recurring role

edit: he wasn't in this one, but night school high q was probably my favorite sketch

Heard this news yesterday, been thinking of him since. I've been watching him on TV since I was a little kid, sad to say goodbye to people like this. RIP Fred.
