Thought this picture (blatantly stolen from Fark.com) fit very well.

Though it will be a long time before WBC and their ilk are gone this is a slow start to the day we might be free of them.

Proof there is no loving or just god since it took so long for that guy to die.

Asshole gods: more likely.

Hopefully they dump him in the same pit with Falwell and Brietbart, so that they can have an eternal threesome.

I did like how the family asked for respect while they mourned him.

That takes some balls.
Agreed. If there is any justice, a million angry gay bikers will protest his funeral, the distraction allowing soldiers to piss his coffin full to the rim.

Any one person or group of persons that are so fixated on gays and hating gays and believing they have some destiny to prove they are anti-gay, well those people make no logical sense. Its like brain damage. Or like compulsive hand washing.
They don't know why they do it, they just do it.
And they get quite overly consumed with doing it.
Very much like with compulsive hand washing.

So I can't hold any hate or anger for Fred. He needed help and didn't get it.
As if he was never ending washing and re-washing his hands, so to speak.
And he's not the only one out there stuck in that rut, poor things....

Phelps was the best that ever happened to the gays. Since he was a Democrat who had run for office I really had to question if he was secretly trying to help the people he protested.

Most girls growing up the past 10 years saw those protests and felt huge sympathy since their mushy little brains were trained by pop culture with shallow slogans like "Love knows no gender" . Plus girls love emasculated boys. They think they are the cutest thing going. Phelps and shows like Glee (Fox!), Modern Family etc have done more to snooker people about things like gay marriage than all the gay political groups together could have done.

Not only did homosexuals seem harassed by Phelps but they were thrown in with the US military to boot. By association one of the lowest regarded of US culture got joined to the highest.

Every gay etc should be sorry Phelps is gone. Things will never he as easy again

Snooker people about things like gay marriage? Dude, Modern Family is the best show on the air, and Eric Stonestreet and Jessie Tyler Ferguson are both endearing and hilarious in it. (And yes, I had to Google "Modern Family cast" to get their names.)

Phelps definitely helped gays, but some of the most horrible people in the South are staunch Democrats. Comes from the Civil War and the days of carpet baggery, not any secret plan to help gays.

Endearing? See that's how teeny girls think ("Oh they're kewt!"). Real men simply don't watch "Glee" and "Modern Family" - especially not for the "endearing" characters. Sofia Vergara I could understand watching a bit of but she doesn't counter out the emetic stuff

On "Glee" I'd agree, but Modern Family is smart and funny, and unlike so much of television the characters are actually nice people. I like characters to be endearing (which I'm pretty sure is a word "teeny girls" don't even know) rather than the snarky, self-obsessed tools which fill so much of today's entertainment. As far as "emetic stuff", dude, they don't even kiss.

And Julie Bowen is just as smokin' hot as Sofia Vergara.
