Fred Meyer - 75% off already marked down clothing

edit: Seattle, WA and the surronding metropolis cities. I'm guessing it's true for Fred Meyer systemwide as their sales tend to not be isolated to specific communities

I just got back from Fred Meyer where they are offering 75% the lowest markdown. For exampe final prices:

Union Bay shirts - $5 final price

Jockey under shirt muscle tess, under pants (trunk style) orig $15 clearance @ $11.23 - 75% ($9.97) final price = $1.26

Glacier's Edge coat - really nice with zip out and moisture repellant orig $120 clearance @ $60.27 - 75% ($45.20) final price = $15.07

Point Zero button down shirt - orig $34 clearance @ $24.97 - 75% ($18.73) final price = $6.24

At these prices you can refresh your entire wardrobe for $50. The person in line in front of me had a total of $208 b4 discounts final price including tax was $50 and some change.

Uhhh, can you be more specific? City, State? That store only or system wide sale? Nationally advertised or not? Etc, etc, etc. I know you said YMMV but that needs a bit more explanation.

Fred Meyer is a chain of sorts for us people located in the Northwest(Oregon, Washington mainly). If you're old school, Fred Meyer is kinda like the old Gemco's.

I know that; I live in Oregon. What I was asking was if this was a "one store" sale, or a regional sale, a chain-wide sale, etc. I thought that was pretty clear.

The 75% clearance has been on for a few weeks. What is really new is that they have marked down the prices and then give you the clearance on top of that.

The checkout girl said they "really want to clear out inventory" and that the sale would go on until that time.

I'm gonna revisit the store(s) after I get my paycheck. Wish I'd put direct deposit in place at this point instead of waiting on the postman...

The 75% off is at all Krogers owned multidepartment stores (Fred Meyers, Smith's Marketplace, Fry's Marketplace). Picked up couple of Columbia fleece jackets at Smith's for $4.99 ea.
