SYNOPSIS: LADY WITH ALZHEIMERS HAS BEEN COMING TO MY HOUSE FOR THE PAST FIVE DAYS. YESTERDAY SHE WENT INTO A NEIGHBORS HOUSE. SHE CAME BACK THIS MORNING...DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO.

last week in fri night after dinner, i am sitting around watching TV with my parents and sister the door rings and my sister opens the door to find an old lady asking for someone named Finch. my sis tells her we have lived here for over a year now and the previous owner wasn't named Finch. so the old lady leaves. an our later, i am still watching TV and the doorbell rings. me the lazy one doesn't open the door but we have an intercom connected to the phone system. over the intercom comes the voice of this lady again asking for James Finch.

i tried to explain to her that he doesn't live here and assumed she left. my mother the compassionate one goes outside to see if she can help the lady and I go to help also. she tells my mother that this Finch guy lives in our house and lives on the second floor. at this point i found out she has some mental disease since out house is only one story. at this point I call the police and tell them there is someone who needs help. by the time i get back she has left and started walking down the street. five minuted later a policeman shows up and goes after to help her out.

On Sat. night and i am geting ready to leave and she is back again at 10 p.m. i tell her this mumbo jumbo and try to have her stay in the front of the house until the cops come again. but she leaves. i want to leave the house and call the cops to tell them where she went.

yesterday, i get home from work and my little brother tells me that she came back again. i go outside to look for her and find two police units lookiing for her. i tell them she came back and they tell me that she went into one of the neighbors' house. this is freakyyyyyyyy.

That's really sad. It's not freaky.
I guess she doesn't have any family to take care of her and make sure she doesn't wander. :(

"Freaky"?

F*ck you, buddy. My grandma had Alzheimer's for six years before she died and it was one of the worst things I've ever seen.

How about some common damn courtesy or a little compassion?

hey, dont take it personally. to me its freaky is someone comes to your one story house and tells you they know someone who lives on the second floor, and that is the one thing that makes me think this is not Alzheimers.

wanna talk about freaky ...i remember walking to school and having to pass a "crazy house'....hey we were school kids that what we called it....we even started to name them ..one skinny old black guy was always talkgin to himself and making karate chop moves..we called him bruce lee...another was always looking for his dog ralph...called him ralph

spooky thing is it was in a remodeled mortuary home..where there had been a fire and one of the kids of the family that owned it died.....

What do you think is Alzheimer's? Someone who always forgets where they put their keys?

Alzheimer's is a very very serious thing. Your memory goes to crap and you become LOST.

Alzheimer's is a very nasty disease. As an example, my grandmother could remember minute details of things from the 40's & 50's but asked me when I was graduating HS. She asked me that in 2000, I graduated in 1992. Let her in, give her a cup of coffee/tea/whatever and call the authorities to come get her. She may spook you but she's harmless and from the sound of it could use a hand.

yeah, maybe in the 40s or 50s there was a two story house, but not in the last 20 years. what spooks me is that the police haven't been able to get a hold of her in over five days....
