Ordered a Dell refurbished 8200 system. After shipping it for $99.00 it came in 7 days. I set it up that night and activated the free Norton Antivirus software. Its a good thing I did, the drive had 23 viruses on it and it seems it was never reformatted from the previous owner because there was still downloaded files including porn on it dated a month before I even received the computer.
After running it for an hour trying to clean the viruses it shut down and would not work. I called tech support and worked with them from 10pm to 3:30am. Worst experience ever. They had me dissasemble and then re-assemble my computer. The drive started to work again but now needed to be re-formatted because of all the viruses. They didn't send out the correct image disk so I had no drivers for the system. After all that the next day the drive crashed again.
I spoke to a customer service rep who said they would send out another drive next day air. It was thurs so when it didn't show up on fri, i though ok they need a day to load the software. Mon goes by and no drive. I call tech support that afternoon and they said oh whoever said that was wrong you should see it by Wed. Wed comes and goes no drive. I call Wed, the rep said she didn't know why it hasn't been shipped but she would personally make sure its there by thur. Today is Thurs, still no drive. After 2 hours of being shuffled from customer service to tech support because this isn't their depeartment and being hung up on, the drive has never been ordered and the image cd is on backorder.
Worst experience I have ever had dealing with a company. They just flat out lie to make you think everything will be ok. If you get a tech support rep plan on a very thick indian accent that is extremely hard to understand. I would not recommend a Dell computer to my worst enemy.
