Would it be possible to divide this is up into several cohesive sections? I feel like I'm trying read an amoeba.

Wait, so they give you a refund, and possibly an extra $30 dollars in compensation, for an item you purchased 2 MONTHS AGO, and you are bitching? Unbelievable. Your sense of entitlement is skewed, I suggest banging your head against a wall a thousand times to get some sense of reality.

So I bought a swiftech mcp655 pump from them probably mid feburary and set it up about 2 weeks ago to find that it was defective so I get an rma exchange and send it in last friday. Now the slowest it shoudl take is 4 days tops for it to get here since they were done inspecting and everythign on monday.

Yesterday I get an invoice with refund money in it and today I ask a representatvie about it. I ask her what is going on and she says that it's been backordered and when items are backordered, I'm given a refund automatically. On the rma page however it specifically states that when the item that is being exchanged is out of stock, a representative will contact me via email and tell me my options. Well I wasn't contacted with my options.

The price for it now is 90$ I bought it originally at 60$ but 90 is probably just a price they put on it since its out of stock so I ask her if I'll be compensated since the price is at such a large difference and she tells me that she left notes on my account about it. When I ask for proof of some sort she says no and to copy and paste the convo.

That's a bunch of crap because they could just say I typed it myself or something dumb like that and she refuses to give me an proof no email or anything. I love newegg, and I hate buying things from anywhere else and I'm not gona stop shopping there because of one bad experience but honestly, this was the absolute WORST experience I've have with newegg in my 2 years of buying from them.


/anyone see the new Newegg Main Page, it sucks....

Ok paulnepats dont be an idiot READ geez I SAID that I sent it in last week and purchased it 2 months ago ANNNNND that they refunded it when I asked for an exchange. I bought it at 60$ its now 90$. If that price were to stay when it's back in stock then I'd paying 30$ more. They didn't compensate me at all. So next time READ before you go saying crap. geez and I'll go divide my first post into sections lol

Wow ... from the sound of things the OP's worst experience at Newegg is better the the best experience provided by most venders!

Backwards compliment FTW!

Edit: Ok just read the last post again & I understand why the OP is upset, but its still not that big of a deal ... my suggestion is to wait until Monday during business hours & call customer service on the phone to resolve this.

Be polite & explain that your choice would have been to wait for a replacement unit to come back in stock rather then accept a refund & that you were never offered that option so you are very unhappy ... stick to your guns & I'm sure you'll get taken care of.

Let me get this straight... you're complaining because they're giving you a refund on the product as per their policy, but you're complaining? Who care if there's a $30 price difference between when you bought it and what it is now. Just take the refund money and get another model.

replying to xanis, why would I get another one if the one I got first was at the price as lower ended ones....that's stupid and I'm complaining because they didn't uphold their policy to contact me and they changed my rma without my knowledge

Alright, I think I understand. You got refunded the $60 for the original price you payed, but you want the extra $30 difference between that and the new price?

Even then, they gave you a refund with no hassle. I don't understand your complaint. Do you want them to come over to your house and share a good cry? Get the kleenex ready!

ya I mean I think thats fair because I wouldve rather just waited for it to come back in stock and have it sent to me then purchase it at 30$ more

You say the price is now $90 but have you actually reordered and been charged the $90 price? They said notes were left on your account so did they work? If you haven't tried then you are really complaining about nothing.

They haven't "charged you more" for anything. You got a refund because the item was out of stock and on backorder, likely for an extended period. Would you rather they hold on to your $60 indefinitely? Would you demand interest payments?

Yes I called them and talked to someone different and they said they'd have to look for notes because they didnt see anything more than a case filed and they charged me 90$ for a new one and said if they found the notes that theyd reduce the price. Otherwise theyd contact me and I could decide from there.

They don't have the item in stock, so they give you a refund. You tell them you still want the item, at the original price. They agree to note this on your account. That, however, isn't good enough for you, because you like to bitch. Am I getting this right?
