http://www.tifaq.org/keyboards/adjustable-split-keyboards.html
in the search for some peripherals for the handicapped, i found that site.
split keyboard.
seeing as how it has been done...
I am going to get 2 cheap keyboards, and experiment =) total cost, $30 maybe...
why 2?
i want split, at elbow distance, without having to bend my elbows in with my natural pro. i'll place the numeric keyboard in the center.
so why 2 keyboards...
i'll be duplicating the keys between the home keys, since i am used to alternating...
and besides, the damn space bar.
i think the task should not be too hard.
the membrane can be cut and the circuits completed with flat speaker cabling. the shell is plastic and i have a dremel.
i should be able to cut the metal plate some manufacturers use to add stability to the keyboard overall.
wish me luck.
