Everytime....I find a good buy it now deal the person always freaking backs out....

Bascially a gamecube one controller....Zelda promo CD and a couple of really crappy games
...$60 buy it now(75 with shipping)...... you can tell that the person listing it didn't really know much about video games because they listed the games wierd......Well I guess after they saw the buy it now go so quick....They must have looked up and found how much that promo CD was going for...I get this....

"hi about the game cube i meant to put 160 as the buy it now and ended up
puting 60 so i will havr to give you your money back or you could pay me the
extra money cause 60 dollars is a really really bad rip off for me sorry for
the inconvienence"....

"Or you could pay me the extra money" WTF I feel like I'm being shook down......I'll see you on judge judy:)

In all seriousness, I'm not sure what to do....I think it is BS and they're upset because they found how dumb they were for listing so cheap....any advice.....

Report it to e-bay. They put it at a set price - you bought it. That sale is a done deal...No backing out.

eBay help pages are pretty useful to read...

I can understand where the seller is coming from, I have misentered prices before but since I use a scheduled lister service I usually give myself a few days lead time to go back and read the auction so I usually catch it. However, by listing the auction and you bidding on it he entered a contract with you and is now obligated to sell to you at the price you bid.

Think of it the situation was reversed, do you think he would let you pay less because you "bid more than I wanted to"? (Though that is an legitimate excuse to withdraw a bid, hitting the extra zero at the end)

Personally? Go after him. But use escrow or something just to ensure that he won't pull something on you.

I just wish I could find a in-store zelda Promo gamecube so I wouldn't have to deal with BS crap like this..

They already relisted it (one day listing too....must be trying to get rid of it fast...bastards)....I saw it when I was going back through....if they are going to relist it they should have given my money back first.....obviously this person doesn't know what they are doing.....

Yeah, that is not cool at all. I'd report him to ebay. Once an auction has ended that is it, if you had bid on it and then he pulled the auction prior to it ending that would be acceptable, but this is totally screwed.

should I try and get my money back first?
That way they don't just keep my money.

or should I just file the report.....

The item will be gone in five hours anyway.....so how would they resolve it after that, other than just a refund?

This person is getting bad feedback but, I want to protect myself from gettin it in return...
How should I go about this?
Damn...I really don't know what to do....this is getting kinda of complicated considering the relist....

Leave feedback on the 89th day, then he probably won't have a chance to respond.

It's not that complicated. He's a bad seller. He's not going to sell to you and you have no normal way to make him sell to you. Just get him to refund you if he has your money. If you want to leave him negative feedback without him leaving you any, just leave it on the last day you can leave feedback. I think you have 90 days to leave feedback, so leave it on the 89th day or so.

Report it to e-bay. Bidders get 3 NPB's before they're banned, but sellers are banned if they refuse to sell ANY item at its closing price. Make sure you tell him first though.

You're dealing with a minor here, who isn't even over 18 to sell. But anyway, this is hilarious!

get the phone number from ebay. and call his mother and let her know what he did. tell her he is going to screw up her account and get her banned or worse.
