Have no idea how it got in. Just a little sparrow. But I pretty much live in a mansion, and its all over the place. Best way to try and capture it without hurting it to get it back outside?

Turn off all the interior lights and prop open the doors. Give it 20-30 minutes and the bird will find its own way out.

Thanks bbhaag. Problem is there are tons of mosquitos out around where I live. I opened the windows and tried to force it out, but it did not go. So I had to close them again. Going to wait until middle of day tomorrow when the mosquitos are not out and leave window open. No way am I leaving it open tonight, tons of mosquitos would mass murder me and the fam tonight. Bird is getting tired, found him on the ground. Tried to get plastic bag around him but he flew up as last second. Maybe I can get him first thing in the morn. Thanks again.

Yep yep, that is the plan, although I had a giant trash bag. But throwing a towel over it seems quicker, less chance it can escape. Will try it. Thanks!

It's not your bird. And probably is a flying rodent. Let it get eated

That is actually a really good point. Cat is HUNGRY, I don't feed her very much in any given day because when I feed her more than just a little she tends to throw it up. I think its with her hair and what not. But I just can't let a sparrow die so horribly like that. Have you seen them up close? They are so beautiful and innocent.
