You'd think this would be simple: if you make a BIOS update available for your boards, you should post what it fixes somewhere on your site. I've been all over ASUS's site, and I can't find a thing.

Specifically, I want to know what the latest (1004A) A7M266 BIOS fixes, to see whether it's worth updating.

But really - is this available on their site? Has anyone found it? Am I just blind?

Thanks

ok man calm down a lil geez...
they do put a description... that one says Latest June release... in otherwords nothing major was changed... probably just a normal update...
oh by the way is your computer fine?
if yes please just leave it alone... (we don't wanna hear you posting later about a badflash... hehe j/k :))
if no it can't hurt to try it...
hoped that helped but i am sure it didn't...

The computer's ... kind of fine. It won't work at all in jumper-free mode, but seems good in jumper-mode. And yeah, I figured "June release" meant "minor update."

But really, there's no excuse for them NOT to post the changes. It's dumb. All ovr their site they say, "Don't upgrade unless the new BIOS fixes a problem that you have." But then they never say what the new BIOS fixes. Lame.

what revision are you running right now? if it is like maybe 1002 or before i would consider updating...
since your jumper free mode isn't working it might help fix that... i would give it a try if you want that to work... good luck
