Freakin' crummy FedEx!!!!

I ordered some parts from NewEgg on Friday the 11th, and they shipped the same day. They're coming out of NJ and heading down here to GA.

They arrive in Savannah, GA the next day (that's about an hour or so away from me.) They arrive at a local FedEx location about 15-20 minutes from me early on Monday morning.

Have I gotten the parts yet? NO!!!! Are they coming this morning? NO!!!!

Why? Because, with FedEx SuperSaver shipping, FedEx has scheduled the package for delivery on Wed, the 16th, so they're going to sit in the warehouse until Wednesday morning. I've called and called FedEx.....spoken to three people (two CSRs and one supervisor)....tried talking them into letting me go pick up the parts. No Go!!! All I get is "The package is scheduled for delivery on the 16th and that's when it'll be delivered. Sorry." Doesn't matter I can be at the FedEx location it's sitting in within 20 minutes.

Damn it all FedEx.......I hate them sometimes!!!!
 
With newegg I usually get the package a day before the scheduled delivery date.

Got a quetion though. Ordered from Best Buy with UPS 2nd day air. It was shipped monday
Do you think i'll get it today? Probably not but who knows.
It was shipped from OHio and im in chicago.
 
I've had good luck with FedEx myself, and UPS for that matter. I used to work in a receiving department so I dealt with these companies on a daily basis. Those two definitely have thier sh1t together. It's Airborne Express and DHL that seem to be "freakin' crummy" to me.
 
you should pay for the faster shipping, its just cheaper for them to do it this way, they punish you for not paying for the faster shipping. Think of it like this. you just bought a X800 pro and you think that ATI just disabled the extra four pipelines to punish you for not paying the extra for the xt, so you mod it and fvk it up. you then b!tch about it and RMA it about 4 differant times before getting one that will mod. Dont expect to get that which you did not pay for when it comes to fedex, they are more powerful than you.
 
I've found that Fed Ex and UPS let stuff like that sit until the delivery date. But if you you get 2nd day or something quick like that, they seem to get it to you ASAP.
 
would you rather have UPS ground as new egg's standard free shipping, like everyone else? get it in about 2 weeks and it looks like it was dragged behind the truck
