Freakin Clark Connect! :(

Hey everyone... Just wondering since when did Clark Connect cost money? I had it some time ago, and was going to set it back up as a webserver bascially to hots a bunch of my pictures on. That doesn't look like it will be happening now that it costs money to get a freakin liscense.

Does anyone know of anything similar to clark connect and FREE that is really easy to set up picture galleries and web stuff on? I loved how simple the program was, but I'm not about to pay for that crap!

The point is that I can get a freaking copy of NT and run this stuff on that for the $65 they want for a license.... I'm not going to pay for linux. I don't want all the fancy email/registration/etc gartbage that clark connect offers, and I don't need their DNS stuff either. All I want is a freaking program to host a small number of picutres on my computer for my freaking family to look at.

If you can't reccomend something or at least give me a better suggestion than "oooohhh you cheap ba$stard, you don't want to pay for linux" then just don't bother crapping in here, please.

It still is free. Click on the "Community" tab in the upper right, then go to download.

Thanks a lot Kilrsat... I knew there had to be something... All I was seeing was office and pro, and after I looked around for a few mins I just assumed they didn't have the free one anymore. Glad to see it's still around 🙂

You could also try YellowTip Webserver for free (after registering). It is a program that automatically installs and configures Apache, PHP, MySQL, and several web programs such as PHPMyAdmin, and Gallery (online photo sharing software).

Its easy as pie!
