Lets say store x1 is a subsidiary of store x, store x basically owns x1, is the parent company, etc
Now if i bought something at store x1, something malfunctioned in that product, and i don't want to drive 120 miles to store x1, and store X will not accept returns w/o their receipt, and i just want a replacement...can i buy the exact same product at store X, swap it with the defective product from store x1, and return it?
This would save me a lot of hassle, as i don't have to drive 120 miles to store x1, or hassle with the company that made that product. And in this case, the stores are all in the same company, with same prices on nearly everything (store x1 is smaller and has a wider selection of certain items), wouldn't doing the swap at store x technically be the same as doing an exchange at store x1?
