Sounds perfect - trade is good, but every economy will be better off if people focus locally first, and trade internationally second.

The motivation for the tax is (as usual) ass-backwards, and yet it's a good idea.

There's a certain poetic justice to the people who don't understand something liberals have long said that taking care of the poor can often help everyone else, too, as these 'poor hordes' are the new workers who work so cheaply and drag down the situation for the wealthier countries' workers, as the international corporations do what's best for them.

We've long needed and lacked a global effort against poverty and plan for globalization that balances the needs of both sides.

But who's interested in that? Not each country's government or citizens, not the corporations, mostly just liberals.

I knew we could count on you to defend this lunacy.

You are free to give them your money. I will keep mine. There suffering makes my life much more enjoyable.

You can keep it.

Tell Americans you want their money, their wealth, their standard of living going overseas. They'll most likely offer to ship you there first.

I dont understand why they want to give more money to the warlords and dictators who keep oppressing these poor people they are trying to help...

It is pretty sad that they dont' see this happening...or maybe they have some kind of kickback arrangement with them to get their hands on some of this money...

That's just it. They want people to be poor. Take the rich's money away from them in the guise of helping the poor, only to make the rich, the poor. Now the new poor people are more dependant on the government.

Control. It's all about control.
For the most part people don't go into politics because they want to help people, they go into politics because they have a controlling nature and you can see it in the people that achieve higher elected office. They are control freaks and most have some type of psychosis.

I don't fucking care about the poor. I care about me. How will helping the poor help me? It won't! They will compete with me for jobs. Helping the poor will in fact hurt me. In my opinion, they can stay poor.

I too hate poor people. It's the worst when their parents let them live in the basement, they don't pay any bills, and they post poorly thought out libertarian ideas on internet forums after donating to Ron Paul's election campaign.

I thought they were poor because they were too lazy to get jobs?

Now you're saying that with some help, poor people would be competing for your future 7-figure salary?
