BTW, hows the support for the war here in the US going?

or in the UK for that matter, 30% support war if its gets a UN approval and if it doesnt then only 13% support it

I don't really care one way or the other. I just like to make fun of the french. My best friend's girlfriend was French and he was Canadian. The insult train didn't even slow down around corners.

If you're crazy enough to watch porn with sprouts under the girls arms you're probably crazy enough to pay the tax.

I took my wife to Paris a few years back, and I was amazed how much the French hate the Americans. I understand why now. they are a communist country. The embrace conmmunism, and tolerate capitalism only if it suits the government and generates wealth for the wealthy. The French are damn near as oppressed as 3rd world countries like Samalya.

you can go hit those touristy places and spend your money, but the majority of the french live in abject poverty. They get a stipend from the government to live on, and pay heavily on anything else they earn to the French government.

Screw France (government) but lets spare the french the hate. you have to see it from their eyes. And when you live in poverty and under government control as they do, it isn't hard to form the wrong opinion of Americans.

We are very lucky to live in America. Remember that. 😉

I'd listen to all your crap, but I couldn't be bothered to read past your appalling spelling of Somalia...

what pisses me off about all these protesters is they give the impression we are going after the people of iraq, like that we are going to carpet bomb there houses and schools.

According to two polls published Tuesday, the number of Britons who oppose military action against Iraq has risen in the last few months.

Without United Nations backing, 77 percent of respondents would oppose a war against Saddam Hussein's regime, up from 70 percent in September, the Mori Social Research Institute said.

With U.N. approval, 61 percent of respondents would support Britain joining a U.S.-led military campaign, down 10 percent from September.

Mori interviewed 955 British adults between Jan. 17-20. No margin of error was given.

I blame it on the short attention span of this generation. If everything is not neated wrapped up in 60 minutes or less they are bored and ready to move on to the next show.

This country is founded upon the principle of allowed dissent. How can you get hoity toity about our allies having a difference of opinion?

One thing I've found is that Americans don't like applying their principals to the international stage. For example having different countries being equal is bad. Having a US vote count as much as another country's vote is bad. Having countries disagree with the us possition is bad. etc etc.

This is where the hatred of the UN and everyone but Britain comes from I think. But its no wonder Americans like the British. After all, it seems Blair can't wipe his ass without asking Dubya for approval first.

Well it was true, more than be said for much of this.

Tripleshot - I'm glad to see that you're as delusional about foreign countries as you are about the US. I'm sure that you didn't experience hatred of Americans when you visited France. What you experienced was them hating you because they quickly figured out what an idiot you are and how much of an insult it was for you to be wandering around their country blathering your normal stupidity.

I'll ignore the fact that I never have any issues in France (and actually like visiting it) because I grew up in Quebec and speak French well. My wife went one week early for our last trip to France (we were actually there on 9/11). She's American, grew up in the middle of Kansas and speaks almost no French. She loved her visit and had a grand time even before I arrived with our daughter. I get the same stories from other American friends who visit - they're always surprised how well they were treated.

I would say that my respect for France increased because they figured out what a dufus you are, but that takes so little effort that I can't give them any credit for that.

Michael

ps - As for the French opposing US action against Iraq, they're entitled to their opinion. I dion't think that Bush cares if the UN doesn't give the green light. He'll make his own decision based on what is the best for the USA.

Well, not really.. but its probably closer to the truth than we think it is.. France is saying they will work with allies to prevent the U.S. from going to war in Iraq without a 2nd U.N. resolution (Which they would oppose):

Can France be any more useless of an "ally"? When have they EVER supported ANYTHING we have done?

Yeah, they gave you your victory over the British during the Revolutionary war. They're regreted it ever since.

It would be an awful shame if a couple of bombs would "accidentally" drop on France... France is irrelevant.. they should go back to their crappy food and let us deal with the problems of the world like we have been for the past 60 years.

Bhah...bhah...
