I think I finally found a game that requires a new CPU.

Does anybody that has an Ivy/Sandy bridge overclocked play this? Would you measure your framerate on Kappa mobile defense, while hosting?

I haven't measured mine yet, but it gets fairly unplayable while hosting. I'd say around 20 fps.

You have an i7-920 @ 3.8Ghz? I'm assuming it is one thread on the cpu that is bottlenecking the framerate. In that case a 4.7GHz SB would get you a 30% increase. Going to haswell at that same frequency might get you another 15%. Unless you can find a setting to turn down, you will probably need a 5GHz haswell to even get that above 30 fps.

Would you host a map of Kappa for some numbers? It would also need 4 people for maximum CPU thrashing.

I tested it with fraps, and it holds itself at 20-24 until the timer stops and the units clear out.
