Hello,
What is 'frame grabber' ? (except details in wikipedia)
Could you more explain about it?

we embed the technique onto a frame grabber
card to create a real-time imaging system. A new imaging
system is set up by integrating a PC with a SEM. With
the new setup, we can online assess the quality of the
SEM images and implement the necessary improvement.
And give me overview from it?
How Frame grabber in PC with SEM work? :(
(SEM = scanning electron microscope)

Frame grabber in PC with SEM similar the below picture?

Thanks

Sounds like the "frame grabber card" is something the SEM manufacturer can supply you with, and it just takes the image from the SEM and "records" it. I had to set something like this up on a VERY old SEM that was built to send images to a "polaroid" type printer. A camera actually had to be installed to capture the image to send to the PC.

Your SEM manufacturer would know where to steer you.

But i reading a paper and author uses the below(not me) :

Now i want need more details for it for better understand.

I used to work in the machine vision industry and had to deal with frame grabbers a lot.

A frame grabber is pretty much as 96Firebird described. It's device, usually a PCIe card, that interfaces with a camera and captures images. The frame grabber can display live video through it's software, or record the video or take snapshots.

When I worked with machine vision, we usually did real-time processing of images in software, however there was a model of frame grabber that we used which had an on-board FPGA that could be programmed to do processing directly on the card. This is possibly what the author means when they say "we embed the technique onto a frame grabber". Without a link to the paper, I can't give any more info.
