Same reason you have an ATX board :)
I have an ATX board because ATX boards are good bang for buck and fully compatible with regular cases. Are EATX boards good bang for buck and fully compatible with regular cases?

With a drill, bit and a perhaps a Dremel, you can shoehorn an EATX into most any ATX box. But why? Seems that the world is going mATX, not the other way.

This thread is going no where. Besides I got my answer. No shoehorning or dremeling required.

To each his own. No need to question why do I have an E-ATX board. I just do :)
