The case is too big for my tastes, but it looks like a good design. There are a lot of smart features included and the case seems very versatile. Here's a review though, although it's kind of amateur: http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/2010/01/15/fractal-design-r2-case-review/1 . I mean, it's a case designed for silence and they don't even bother testing sound levels. However, they do take the time to complain about performance for a few paragraphs and can't figure out why two slow speed fans (one covered with a dust filter) in a sealed case have cooling issues.

EDIT: Another review, not much better though: http://metku.net/index.html?path=reviews/fractal-design-define-r2/index_eng5

look at how many bay devices u can fit inside it.

To be honest it looks like a wannabe Corsair 800D.

Op i think you'll be happier with a Antec P182 series if you like that front design.
And if u like the interior, check out the corsair 800D.

Thanks for your input after some more thought I think ill pass on it.....

As said -

Too small
Not enough air flow aswell? - due to the drive bays ect...
Do not know enough on the company / reviews are few and far between

The hunt continues, the P182 is still number 1 at the moment!

Thanks again

Karl

I'm curious as to why you guys think this case is too small. Too small for what exactly?

lol..

i never said it was too small..

i said it was tiny..

Your comments was the case is large..

Its not even in that catigory.

Its about a small/mid tower class.

Which is tiny for me... because i only look at extended server cases. :p

And its most likely its smaller then a P182.

It looks decent, but I make it a point not to buy cases that lack decent front ventilation (preferably with filters since I'm lazy to do stuff like that myself).

I would guess it's about the same size as my case, an Enermax Phoenix, so I'd guess it's a mid-tower. That's a lot of 3.5" slots, so it can't be *that* small...

fyi - those filters over the fan holes? They're not for keeping dust out...they're for keeping the demons IN.
