Looks to be a promising new lineup from Fractal Design (depending on actual street prices). Seasonic has increased the price of their units, so there is definitely room for other quality units to compete.

That said, has anyone else noticed that Tom's reviews seem to much tougher on products than most review sites? I've kind of seen a trend where almost all sites like a product (such as a motherboard), but Tom's doesn't recommend it all. For example, Anandtech likes the product, as does Kitguru: https://www.kitguru.net/components/.../fractal-design-ion-platinum-660p-psu-review/

However, Tom's review and summary goes a different way: https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/fractal-design-ion-860p-power-supply,6239.html

Tom's has been a very good place for PSU reviews, historically. I can't say the same about some of their other content in the past few years.

Aris M has been doing these reviews for years and has very high standards.

Here's a review he did of my PSU a few years ago and here's a good resource from him on PSU components.
