Oh yeah but the one thing I don't like about the show is their fake cussing. It just sounds so corny.

It's pretty cool. Doesn't compare to either Stargate SG-1 or Atlantis though. Also the use of frack instead of fvck annoys me greatly.

@RPC, Threads, the episode you saw last week, would be confusing for someone coming into SG. It's definatly a great show.

OP, why don't you have your wife watch BSG with you?

For frack's sake... you watched the second to last episode of 8 seasons, which will be the last for the bulk of the original cast. You think you're honestly going to undestart what's going on?

Not to mention last week's SG-1 was mostly filler and the culmination of what is essentially a 4 part episode.
 
Maybe I'll try to watch it again tonight. I watched a few episodes of it not long after it first came out, when it was on a different channel and I remember it being decent then.

I suggest finding the earlier seasons on dvd and start watching.

You'll really have to start probably at the beginning or middle of season 6 to understand what is going on now. Atlantis is really an extension of SG-1, seriously. It's kindof a branch-off, but at this point in time, it's running pretty much linearly with SG-1, and they've just started interweaving the two. I personally thing Atlantis is going to pick up heavily next season where SG-1 is going to leave off.
