FPS Monitoring HOW??!?!

troubledshooter

I have tried 3dMark2000, and been told that it doesn't give proper results under win2k without the directx8 beta drivers. I was also told to try monitoring my FPS in q3.

Can someone please detail exactly how to read the FPS in q3? I know you type in like "timedemo" then "demo demo001" and it starts...but where do you actually SEE the FPS you are getting?

world of thanks again guys!

You do that "timedemo demo0001" thingie. Then once the demo ends, pull dow your console...the last line of the console will tell you your average fps.

go into the console and quake and type

timedemo1 <enter>

demo demo001 <enter>

go back into the console for FPS results. oh yeah, there is a handy search feature, next time try that first.
