FP241VW downscaling to 1680x1050

Hello,

I have a FP241VW connected to my MAIN pc using a DVI cable and 1920x1200 is sublime.

Now i built a new linux pc with a PCI-E MSI N210 (geforce 210) card with a HDMI port and I connected it to the LCD with an HDMI cable.

My LCD is at 1:1 setting

But it won't display at 1920x1200 or 1920x1080

only at 1680x1050

I also tried using the dvi to HDMI adapter same results.

Even during the bios POST the resolution is at 1680x1050
hence It's not a OS issue i think.

What could be causing this ?
