Foxnews.com - can't access

I am not sure if this is the right forum but I suspect some networking issue. Over the weekend our computer server was tinkered with to support the "network infrastructure" but anyway, I used to be able to download Foxnews.com and now I can't acess it. Please no cheap political jokes as I look at many news sites including CNN.com as well, I just like to see how different news orgs cover topics. ANyway, Internet Explorer - the latest 128 bit version seems to time out and I get a blank page with text explaining options. I tried to lower the security/cookie settings and I did not see the site listed as a blocked site but I think there was a deeper level change that prevents me from accessing this particular site. Does anyone know how to get access to this site back? Thanks, Tom

You're better off. <-had to, now get ready for slightly more serious help. 🙂

Can you ask a buddy if they can get to the site? Someone on the same network (I'm guessing you're at work?). If they can't then it could be a network issue instead of a workstation issue.

Check your hosts file to make sure nothing was changed there. It's in C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc I think (kept hitting / instead of the crappy \ ugh).

nslookup www.foxnews.com (this will be used for IP_ADDRESS in the following)
If that works: ping IP_ADDRESS
If that doesn't work: tracert IP_ADDRESS
