I always used Intel mobo's. But will be building my first system.

Will be built for:

Gamer/Server(I dont play FPS's)

So, good RAID1 is a must or is all Intel ICH the same on all mobo's?

As far as the server side gose, she'll see 3hours to a few days at 100% CPU load.

I dont overclock, just wanting some feedback on a rock solid mobo?

Also used Thermaltake Big Typhoon in my last two workstations with 1900 RPM/110 CFM case fan ontop of the typhoon.

So,Foxconn,MSI or Gigabyte on a P45?
 
There is no P45 board out as far as I know. If you don't overclock, Intel's own boards aren't bad choices, IMO.
 
If PCIe 2.0 is not important to you, stick with P35. I seriously doubt P45 will offer any improvement performance wise.
