I have this motherboard and I am experiencing some errors with it. in linux, the screen gets distorted and dots appear, then the computer freezes.

is there a way to turn of the onboard grapics?

Go into bios setup and select PNP/PCI configurations. In the INIT DISPLAY FIRST serlect PCIEx or PCI depending what type of card you have installed.

did that, but i still have problems. the system works much better if I pull out my 8500 nvidia card from the PCIEx slot. I'd like to try and disable the internal video
