Any Fox 7 developers out there?
I am looking for input regarding application distribution since version 7 has kindly elminated their setup wizard.
 
well thanks, but that old x-based version doesn't even remotely compare. I think it's time you consider migrating your platform. ;-)
 
I've answered my own question anyway. For anyone who might care, the absence of the setup wizard actually appears to be a good thing. While Wise Installer & Install Sheild seem oblivious to the requirements of Fox developers, it's even easier than that. No more need for cab files or collective distribution media. You only need two dlls (VFP7RENU.dll & VFP7R.dll) to accompany your .exe and your users can be off and running. And you can write your own VB or C++ app to handle a more sophisticated installation.
