Fox News Republican Debate

Anyone else watching this?

Rudy, Romney is beating the drum of the "Iranian threat."

Dr. Paul "settled" Fox's accusation of being a 9/11 conspiracy theorist and requested to answer the actual issue being debated. Nice!

It would also seem that Ronny R. is the "God" of the republican party. Not exactly new, but it was to this point a big talking point.

Oh wow, it just got juicy!

McCain and Paul had a nice exchange.

EDIT: And yes I have been caught watching fox. It's Ron Paul, I am forgiven 😛

Paul is getting unhinged, Mccain and Romney are about neutral, and Thompson is sounding good tonight.

Actually Paul has received some very nice applauses, and they were well-deserved. This has been so far a good debate for him.

One thing I want to point out, the candidates are trying to spin what he is saying. Example. Paul said that we treat Israel as a US step-child, and that they shouldn't have to ask us before they act. Rudy responded by saying that the notion that Israel is our step-child is ludicrous. Again, Paul said that we treat them that way, not that they are. It is certainly is NOT the first time Rudy has tried to put words in Paul's mouth during a debate.

You would think Rudy would have learned about debating Paul on foreign policy and history from previous instances.

Paul looks pretty haggard, but seems to be doing a great job of keeping his thoughts from being marginalized. I'm glad to see that a couple of the candidates have found it necessary to address Dr. Paul's points.

I think what it may come down to is the fact that people want to be patriotic, want to support our troops, but they're getting sick and tired of war. We need a strong president, but we need a president strong enough to prevent war when we can, not start one when he wants.

Have to agree with Paul's last riff.

The repubs have lost their way on fiscal conservatism...

"Mister Paul, again a question of electability, do you have any?" Low blow from fox. I think Paul handled the question just fine though.

Yes he did.

Definitely!

These guys are more about cliches than substance. Huckabee is taking flack for being a pragmatic governor and balancing the budget, which was his job, because it conflicts with GOP anti-tax complexes. It's sad.

I'm no Paulbot, but he is performing very well. They are trying to laugh him out of the debate and he is doing a good job of handling it. McCain's jab backfired, he was hoping for a cheap laugh and ended up getting embarrassed. Romney's jab looked small, he was basically accusing Paul of being a traitor.

Huckabee is a great politician, and that scares the hell out of me.

Faux news declares Ron Paul the big loser in the debate. I'm sure everyone in P&N is as SHOCKED as I am.

Yeah, I almost fell out of my chair.

This is just predictable now.
