Wow. Just...wow. I think she needs to switch to decaf.

And Zebo, the only one talking over anyone there was that nutcase woman. They were attempting to slip questions into her rant while she just kept on preaching.

I did laugh out loud when Hannity muttered under his breath "okay, you're a nut" though--was exactly what I was thinking.

If a Christian group turned out at a funeral with signs praising the soldiers for their heroism and patriotism and a Democratic governor tried to ban their demonstration Republicans would BE SCREAMING and immediately pass legislation ALLOWING the demonstrators.

I p*wned this thread.

No one tried to ban this group. The Governor and legislature put a distance requirement in place, which will more than likely hold up, since it was held up for abortion cases.

Religious extremists are just people who can't deal with reality, so they form a spiritual crutch. This is all fine and well (since i group them into the same category as people who have imaginary friends) until they take it upon themselves to show you their crappy excuse for a crutch. They assume you need a crutch as they do, and forget that maybe you were not kept in a closet and fed bullshit.

I commend the people on this forum for not falling into religious propaganda. Most folks think the messiah is what will save us. They fail to realize we are the messiah and have to save our own asses. There is still hope for humanity.

You didn't even own a single bit of any of the bytes that even make this thread.

You start your paragraph with "IF" and you think you are making a valid point?

Back to school kid.

Not quite the dumbest comment of the year, but close.

Exactly. And not that I am defending their guest, not at all, but these guys constantly interrupt the guest. They never let them finish what they have to say, they never let them fully explain their position and why they take it. They ask a question, wait for one thing they can attack, and interrupt, attack, followed by yet another question, and then repeat.

No, they constantly interrupted her. And describing her as a nut should be the viewers doing, it's completely biased jounalism, if you can even call it that.

Your point is hypothetical and therefore irrelevant. That, and I have never heard of the government preventing someone from supporting something that is legal...funerals are legal celebrations...groups choosing to attend said funerals and pay respects to the dead are also legal...therefore, a governor would have no motivation or legal authority to exercise the power in your scenario.

Hannity and Colmes isn't a news show, it's the video equivalent of an op-ed.

Maybe that's the problem ;)

Let me know when FAUX starts "pwning" christian nuts that matter. Small town folk are small potatoes, we need some right wing condemnation of nuts like Pat Robertson. Until then, this is just FAUX trying to assuage critics over their ties to fundie, the PR equivalent of a sacrificial node.

That being said, Westboro Baptists are disgusting zealots.

Yes, in addition they use annoying vioce inflections, rolled eyes, pass themselves off as experts and have "the pulse of the nation" on just about everything.Total showboating as far as I'm concerned. And I'm not defending her either just pointing out thier Heraldo Rivera bullying interviewing tactics. Rush Limbaugh is more "fair and balanced" than these two.

Only if you watch the show expecting un-biased news, in which case, you're a moron.

I wouldn't watch anything on Fox and expect it to be news. :D

One thing I do wonder about this group after going to their home page - checking out what they stand for since I could'nt get anything out the so-called "interview" - is it was the onion christain site, they gotta be agent provocateurs I've never seen Christain this hateful and un-Christian.. Thier whole speil is about inflicting damage on people by insulting them and hating on them.
