ORLANDO, Fla. — Birthers, you’re not going to like this one.

President Obama was schmoozing his way around the sports bar Gator’s Dockside, chatting up families and posing for photos as part of his campaign bus tour of Florida on Saturday night, when he stopped at a table of 10 people, including several children.

“He was born in Hawaii,” one woman said, pointing to a blond boy down the table.

The president lit up and flashed the Hawaiian shaka hand sign, which the boy — Andre Wupperman, who will be 7 next week — returned.

“You were born in Hawaii?” Mr. Obama asked, then broke out into a smile. “You have a birth certificate?”

The table burst into laughter.

How long until Fox News spins this into the fictional headline of this thread? Also expect Megan Kelly to talk about the Hawaiian gang sign the two flashed.

Also, I cue the conservatives who is will no doubt start complaining about the double standard between the candidates, and who can and can not tell birther jokes.

Take out the Fox News attribution in your title. At least until they actually run the headline. Should be sometime this evening.

Probably someone who was incredibly disappointed that the thread title wasn't true.

You mean, like his parents had? Or his brother in law's marriage-the brother in law featured prominently at the DNC?

Obama has made this joke several times and other then a small news article, it's never a big deal.


Fox would never pick this story up because it shows how racist the birthers are. White people are a minority in Hawaii, yet birthers would scream bloody murder if white people were forced to prove their Americanism.

He isn't even proud of his own mother but talks all about his father because he belongs to the right religion

Thanks for confirming you're a biased liar. I don't even have cable TV and don't watch any of the news channels, Fox or otherwise, but not knowing anything about me didn't stop you from making a false statement about me - I can't say I am surprised though.
