Fox News has really dropped all pretense of being non-partisan.

Now that Obama has been in office awhile I decided to spend a couple of days watching Fox News just to see what they were up to.

Well, at this point it is basically 22 hours of Dem, Obama bashing and 22 hours of why Republicans are great.

Even when Obama just pointed out that Fox is basically the Republican parties mouthpiece the Foxies didn't even bother to constest it.

At this point there are only two types of people who believe Fox is fair and balanced.
One, is the truly ignorant people who can't understand that its all propaganda.
Two, the ones who know its a Republican mouthpiece but won't say so because they want those in the first categories to believe its fair and balanced.

My god, Fox is basically all hate, all the time.
How can ANYONE have a reasonable political discussion with anyone who believes what they hear on Fox news?
Fox news is the Pravda of American broadcast journalism.

My only issue with Fox News is their claims of being "Fair and Balanced" when they are not at all. I have no problem with them being Right Wing nutheads, I just find it a bit messed up that they claim to be Fair and Balanced but really lean to the far right in all areas.

The very fact that anyone still tries to equate the official propaganda network of the Republican party with any other news source, really just shows the total lack of honesty and intelligence the Fox supporters have.

I don't buy that. Comparing Fox to other news outlets doesn't fly. No matter what beef you have with CNN, MSNBC, ABC, etc none of them are remotely similiar to Fox.

it depends on what the story is. each one will spin it how they want. IF you really think you are getting a "fair and balanced" story for any of them you are blinded by politics.

I don't find CNN particularly biased towards the Republicans or the Democrats at all. In addition, the sheer magnitude of Fox's bias is so much greater than any of the other networks, MSNBC included, that it deserves special mention.

They did that the second Obama won the election. Seriously, as someone who keeps regular tabs on that noise machine, the complete 180 they did within days of his win was simply amazing. Even people I know who defend the channel up and down, people who enforce it as the official lobby channel in their own businesses, were gobsmacked by the complete flip. These days, only shameless partisan ideologues are the ones acting like they haven't noticed.

FOX is a political/media entity with no real counterpart in this country. None, zip, zilch, nada. I usually try to avoid speaking in absolutes, but anyone trying to equate FOX with MSNBC or CNN (or others) simply does not know wtf they are talking about. These are usually the folks who find it convenient to forget that FOX is the only outlet using the trademark slogan "Fair and Balanced."

Sent my sister a copy of OutFoxed back in March. Must have hit home, as the usual talking points she repeats to me from FOX have mysteriously gone missing since then. I inquired about if she had the time to watch it the other day. She suddenly looked very embarrassed, and promptly changed the subject. Hehehe.

Lets see if I can quite get my arms around this thread topic? Our OP asserts that Fox news is no longer fair and balanced, as if this is any new question, and the real question is when has Fox news EVER been fair and balanced?

Rupert Murdock has simply chosen to hire idiot commentators that echo the GOP party line, is wealthy enough to give them a national soapbox, and any redeeming qualities the Fox network has with some of its other offering like the Simpsons and Family Guy are unintended accidents. But still, Fox is still a half grade ahead of Limbaugh, an F rather than a F-.

In the grand scheme, its likely that Rupert will soon die of natural causes, and his heirs are unlikely to follow his nutty policies. Then and only then will there be any hope that the Fox network will improve. Some people improve the world with their lives, and other like Rupert will only improve the world with his death. I do not advocate his murder, but no one lives forever and Rupert is really old already and half past senile. If Rupert Murdock dies of old age, I will not be alone in not shedding a single tear.

I am democratic, I don't put any store in Fox and don't put any store in MSNBC either. Its no problem finding un credible sources not worthy of attention.

Those not worthy of credibility all have a common attribute, they are a waste of my time and yours. Like television commercials, they are best ignored.
