Hello friends,

I see you all still going at it in here. I found something that might tickle you just a little bit. Apparently, a troll somehow landed an interview on Fox News under the pretense that he was an unemployed former Obama supporter that now endorses Mitt Romney.

Well....

Lets just say that dude seems to characterize some of the people on this forum

Gretchen Carlson got punked first thing in the morning on Monday's "Fox and Friends."

The Fox News host interviewed Max Rice, who was introduced as an unemployed college graduate and former Obama supporter.

It became clear, however, that things were off when Rice greeted her as "Miss USA" (Carlson pointed out that she had actually been Miss America) and explained that he switched his vote to Romney because he lost a basketball game. Carlson quickly grew stern, telling Rice, "It sounds like you're not being very serious about this."

She ended the interview after a few more questions. "I'm not sure that you're not ready for primetime yet with this interview," she said. TV Newser later reported that Rice appears to be a stand-up comedian, after finding one of his clips online.

Haha

Someone please help me...what was the point of posting that?

Looks to me to be more an indictment of the news media in general and the crap they spoon feed to their masses. So quick to get something that supports their side they can't take a few steps to vet anything. Just get that sound bite out there. They didn't need to give the guy a rectal exam but come on. Do something before you throw this crap live on the air.

Then the parrots on both side can run round on forums supporting/vilifying the persons story. I remember a time when reporters would do that on their own.

I don't get it. What's the point of pranking a news show that is itself a joke?

Well it turns out that was in fact the point.
Rice said he hopes that his interview shines a light on the mainstream media’s occasional disregard for substance and facts.

“I don’t care if there’s any negative press about me. I think there’s a greater issue,” Rice said. “Our media should be a tool to educate the masses, instead of getting ratings and selling Cheetos. This is proof.”

It seems like he made it on the show just because Fox was looking for a disgruntled college kid. They didnt vet him at all it seems. Fail on their part, but it really does show that they seem to let anyone on that fits their agenda.
