Why are you even watching Fox News? You have to know that it's just going to piss you off at this point.

I sometimes tune in to Fox only to watch the hypocrisy. To watch them freak over something like bike riding where as Trump was destroying our constitution and government daily, well.... that was perfectly fine with them. Frankly, it's all about how they do the twisting. They can cheer Donald Trump for an insurrection yet demonize Biden for riding a bike. But like with watching Tammy Faye and her makeup streaming down her face, Fox too is something so ridiculous that you watch momentarily only to believe the insanity that you are seeing. And you have to admit, Fox News is certainly consistent with their insanity. No denying THAT.

But have you noticed the commercials lately on these news programs? Fox was always full of wall to wall commercials. Whenever I tuned into Fox the chances were 80% Fox would be in a commercial segment. Now, I notice the same with CNN. CNN has increased their commercial airtime dramatically. MSNBC is the only program where chances of tuning into a commercial is around 40%.

But with Fox, I have noticed Fox runs a minimum number of commercials during Tucker Carlson, and even less commercial airtime during Hannity. SO anyway.... turning into Fox one will most likely hit a commercial thus immediately tune away. And the same now goes for CNN. That leaving only MSNBC for a quick news update, and MSNBC does have the best news shows. But I'm sure even MSNBC will find the need to reduce news airtime in favor of commercial airtime. It's all about the money, you know $$$$.

I tried picturing Trump riding a bicycle. It became a physics problem that had no solution, a logic problem with him always ending up in an emergency trauma center with him laying face down on a gurney and an ER team trying to extricate a handle bar from his ass so the solution was a probability one with the solution being that the only way he and a bike would appear within proximity of each other is in a comedy skit on SNL where Trump thought the bike was a sex toy.

Just in case no one remembers, Faux News attacked Obama for wearing a helmet while biking.
I wear a helmet while skating (biking too), I mean WTH. Besides, although I'm adept and safe I don't mind looking like an accident waiting to happen. It makes people more careful around me, which makes things better for me. Meantime I'm having fun.

I saw video of Joe riding, he looked like a much younger man. Sometimes I think he unconsciously tries to look like an old dottery fellow in his role as POTUS so people don't expect too much from him, a defense mechanism.

And they are the largest purveyor of misinformation of all media. It's good to keep up with the bullshit.
I don't get them because I don't pony up bucks for subscription TV. I'm cutting back on MSM news, it's so goddamn brain dead. They keep telling me the same shit I already know as if I've not been paying attention to what's been happening or am so stupid I can't remember. Mostly it's a waste of time. Fox would only piss me off, I figure.

Fox news is the most watched network in the country, it's quite reasonable to tune in from time to time to see what they're saying because their influence is vast.
It is the most watched cable news network. It has only a tiny fraction of the network news audience. Most people don’t watch cable news at all (and rightly so!).

I think there is an entire coordinated ecosystem of right wing media that acts together to promote things like that. It's not just Fox News, it's talk radio, Republican politicians and guests on other media programs, etc.

I think the basic cycle goes like this and it's incredibly insidious:

1) Right wing opinion hosts make ludicrous claim.
2) Right wing 'news' picks up ludicrous claim and says 'people are talking about it'.
3) Regular news reports on ludicrous claim that 'people are now talking about' and debunks it.
4) Right wing news claims bias and turns the whole thing into a food fight.
5) Partisanship asserts itself.

This is a good list, but I think the spread over social media is another important piece of the ecosystem. An estimated 240 million people in the US actively use their social media accounts.

Thus it is with the TRUMPed up election "steal." There's a lot of crazy in the United States. If you aren't good at separating the wheat from the chaff you're gonna have chaff coming out of your ears in these times.
