Fox News Contributor Attacks Man With Axe!

Fox News’ Pete Hegseth, co-host of “Fox & Friends,” hit a West Point drummer with an axe during a June 14 segment of the show, Mediaite reported on Monday.

The drummer who was hit, Jeff Prosperie of West Point’s Hellcats marching band, appeared on the show to commemorate Flag Day and the 240th birthday of the U.S. Army.

In a society where we need labels on peanut butter to inform people that it may contain peanuts, this segment cleared the entire Fox News legal team.

They oppose intrusive government regulation and the feminization of real Men!

That said, some kind of backboard should have been obvious.

😀 +1

"Focusing on full physical and emotional recovery."

Translation: I might have joined the Army, but I'm still suing your ass.

Sue the fuck out of Fox News!

When they're not lying to us, they're trying to murder the drum beating heart of the middle class with axes!

My reaction to the OP

1) Reading Title: Fox News reporter heroically intervenes to stop man wielding an axe

2) Reading OP: Fox News reporter goes crazy and attacks drummer

3) Watching video: OMG, good thing for them both that he wasn't too hurt

Not sure what the point of this thread is.

Yeah, someone used bad judgment to place the band behind the target. Heck, slinging axes around the NYC sidewalk is a bad idea whether or not there is a band around. Fox News corp lawyers probably had a heart attack upon learning of this stunt.

BTW: OP's news source isn't very good. Pete Hegseth is not a co-host of anything. He was a guest. I don't even watch the program and know that. I must assume it's an intentional misrepresentation thus a dishonest and biased news source.

I wasn't familiar with Pete Hegseth either, but he has a bio on FoxNews as a contributor, so he might have been guest hosting or doing an on-location spot for them. He's also apparently CEO of Concerned Veterans for America, but depending on the nature of the organization that might not kick him out of guest hosting.

Hegseth is a retired infantry captain with two Bronze stars. Evidently axe throwing has slipped a bit in our infantry training.

In any event, a man representing or guesting on FoxNews in some capacity threw an axe that missed its target (not I would think a particularly unusual behavior in thrown axes) which then hit a West Point drummer who had stupidly been placed in the line of fire. Um, throw. That should be enough to humorously illustrate the point of idiocy all around.

Or maybe the point is that National Guard officers really don't like those West Point REMFs. It's just that point isn't as amusing when the axes are flying. Somebody could lose an eye.
