Four questions:

1) Why do I constantly see people (both men and women) yawning without covering their mouths? Don't people teach their children that this is bad manners anymore?

2) Why do I see so many people driving without their headlights on in low light/bad weather conditions? Is this supposed to be cool or are these people just stupid? It's a freaking blizzard 10 minutes after sunset. Turn your darn lights on.

3) Why so many guys have the urge to hark up lung oysters and spit them on the sidewalk? It make me ill.

4) Are these behaviors unique to my location? I'm in the Detroit area.

1. Stfu.
2. People forget.
3. What else are they going to do with them? Swallow them? Sorry, lung butter isn't a delicacy in America.
4. No.

There, you're all set!

I think it's funny when people yawn without covering their gaping maws. They usually don't seem embaressed that I'm counting their fillings.

I always cover my mouth when I yawn, sometimes I even yawn so I CAN cover my mouth when I'm embaressed.
Don't drive much, but I usually put my lights on, other cars having theirs on is a good reminder if I do forget.
I tend not to do any kind of spitting in public, though I do sniff quite frequently.
Not too much of a problem that I've ever experienced (in the UK though).

1. I don't really care.
2. Because they're stupid.
3. Because they're disgusting.
4. No.

I give up.

WHY?

(1) No.. good manners are pretty much a thing of the past.
(2) The same reason they don't wear sunglasses & then cause traffic to backup since they can't see due to sun-glare.
(3) See answer #1
(4) Far from it.

i encourage you to try. you'll need me to yawn a few times to count correctly though 😉
my mouth = incredibly cavity prone, i.e. nothing i can do about it
i wanna try this technique i saw on discovery channel once that involved gene-enhanced tobacco plants and mashing the baby-plants of those enhanced plants.. and placing the pulp on the teeth.. taste bad? yea, but i guess it prevents cavities for up to 6 months to a year in even the most extreme cases of cavity prone individuals
too bad about 1 doctor in the US does it i think 🙁

The sad thing is, it's probably a delicacy somewhere. After all, the French have escargot, the Filipinos have balut, the English have black pudding, and the Scottish have haggis. Somebody's got to have lung butter soufflet...
